Aesthetic Quality of the Built and natural environment: why does it matter? in “Green Cities: Blue Cities of Europe”

This research includes a ten point community health gains model which, amongst other questions, seeks to answer the following: How can the aesthetic quality of an environment help to improve the ‘quality of life’?

WHO has defined this as: “an individual’s perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and the value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns” (WHOQOL Group, 1993).
