Ecobuild 2014: How can energy managers present a compelling business case for investment in retrofit?

Matt Fulford, Director, Inspired Efficiency
talks at Ecobuild 2014 about how energy managers can present a compelling business case for investment in retrofit.

With increasing legislation to drive energy efficiency in non domestic buildings the imperatives of retrofit are becoming clear. Finance is fundamental to driving energy efficiency improvements including an understanding of the business case and return on investment.

This session examines various finance options including government incentives and funding mechanisms such as the RHI, FITs, Green Deal and the Green Investment Bank. It also looks at other financing mechanisms including leasing and Energy Saving Performance Contracting. This seminar explores how to access funding, how different retrofit measures will affect the business case, the importance of scrutinising performance to ensure returns and how energy managers can better understand how to present a sound business case for investment.
