Ecobuild 2014: Understanding changes to the Green Deal and ECO

Richard Mellish, Deputy Director, Household Energy Efficiency, DECC talks to Ecobuild 2014 attendees to help them understand changes to the Green Deal and ECO.

Improving the energy efficiency of the existing housing stock is one of the biggest challenges and pressing priorities for home owners, landlords, industry and government. An estimated £3.5 - £6.5 billion needs to be spent every year to 2050 to meet our targets, what is the right stimulus for change to deliver improvements on this scale?

This session will look at the impact of latest policy initiatives and how stakeholders can better engage with this to increase uptake and demand and to maximise the available opportunities.
