Apollo Education - Holy Trinity Primary School case study

This case study is of a refurbishment and new build extension of a school in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

The concept for the new school respected the character and ethos of the existing school, maximised the use of the existing buildings and provided attractive new buildings that have enhanced the learning environment. The school is built using the principles of Passivhaus design, where the specification of ecological building materials, a super-insulated thermal envelope and energy conservation principles were integral to the sustainability strategy.

This is a fantastic example of first-hand education for students on how important sustainability in the built environment is. Hopefully it will have ignited a passion to look after the environment at an early age!
