BREEAM New Construction: Offices
BREEAM for office buildings is an environmental assessment method and certification scheme that can be used at the design, construction, and refurbishment stages of a building’s lifecycle. The assessment method was launched in 1990; this was the first scheme developed in the BREEAM family of schemes. It has since undergone continuous updates to ensure that the scheme criteria goes above and beyond regulation, representing best practice in the design and construction of new office buildings.
BREEAM for offices scheme can be used to assess:
- General office buildings,
- Office buildings with R&D areas,
- Office space within mixed use developments.
